CONDEMN THE BRUTAL KILLINGS OF KASHMIRIS BY THE FASCIST-HINDU-INDIAN POLICE STATE

The Hindu-Fascist-Indian State has again shown its true colour and given a clear message that minorities are not tolerable in this 'democratic' & 'secular' State.
On 17th july, the BSF goons entered a local Madrassa at Gool (Ramban), Kashmir and unleashed a reign of terror. The ordered the Teraveeh Namaz to be stopped and desecrated the Qoran. They also manhandled some people there. This was a direct attack on the religious sentiments of the people. The next day, when people gathered in protest demanding actions to be taken on the culprits, the ‘security’ forces opened fire on the protesters. The exact no. of people killed is still unknown, with the count rising. The state-sponsored media have restricted the no. to four.
After the incident massive protests erupted in Kashmir and Indian state tried to suppress these brutally. Curfews were clamped in many areas of Kashmir. Many have suffered injuries in these demonstrations.

OPPOSE THE BRUTAL LATHI-CHARGE AND REPRESSION ON MARUTI SUZUKI WORKERS AND STAND IN SUPPORT OF THE MARUTI SUZUKI WORKERS’ MOVEMENT

Students For Society (SFS) condemns the recent barbaric event of lathi-charge on protesting Maruti Suzuki workers at the hands of police. On the evening of 19th may, Police started a brutal lathi-charge and tear gas and water cannons were unleashed mercilessly on the protestors, which included a large no. of women, children and old men, while they were protesting before Haryana Industrial Minister House in Kaithal. Not only this, while people were still in shock another lathi charge was again done. Hundreds were injured and were even denied medical aid at civil hospital.
Since the unfortunate event at Maruti Suzuki plant (at Manesar) last year, repression on the workers has continued ever after. The workers, struggling for their demand for release of the imprisoned workers and reinstatement of suspended and fired workers, have continuously suffered repression at the hands of the State. Around 150 workers are already locked in Gurgaon jail and now 111 more workers have been arrested on false grounds and sent to Kaithal jail.
