On 25th march a protest was held at 17 sec. Chandigarh to oppose and condemn the illegal kidnapping and detention of students leaders by AP personnels related to NIA.The protest was organised by Lokayat and PUCR .
On 9th March, SFS activist Pradeep Singh (student of PEC, Chandigarh) and another social activist Mandeep Singh were kidnapped by AP Police personnel from NIA and taken to Adilabad distt., Andhra Pradesh. False cases were slapped on them and their arrest was shown from Andhra Pradesh.
Various organisations participated condemning the on-going trend of Indian State to suppress the democratic voices by kidnapping and killing the social activists. Many a times earlier such incidents had surfaced exposing the dictatorial behaviour of the State.
Demand was put forward to conduct a judicial probe into this lawless and criminal matter and put the culprits to justice.Pradeep Singh was handed-over to his friends at Bhopal railway station 17th march. While Mandeep Singh is still in jail. The unconditional release of Mandeep was also demanded.
